Franciscan was approached, in 2011, by a Third Order project link who was supporting two boys of 13yrs and 15yrs, in Zambia. The boy’s mother had died and father had been in prison for years, on death row. Franciscan Aid was asked to fund school fees for the boys secondary school. This was agreed providing school reports and updates on the progress of the boys was regularly sent to Franciscan Aid.

PLEASE NOTE:
The charity no longer funds tuition fees. It was decided that if funds were sent for a year’s schooling it was important that funds should be provided for the continued education of the child. As a small charity, Franciscan Aid, could not guarantee a continued payment over a number of years.
